Join us for a scenic circular walk that weaves through Folkestone’s historic landscapes, creative quarter, and stunning seafront, offering a perfect mix of heritage, coastal beauty, and vibrant town life.
Starting at the Upper Leas Lift Station, we’ll descend the iconic Zig Zag Path, passing the bottom of the lift before strolling along the boardwalk towards the Harbour Arm. This stretch offers expansive sea views and a chance to take in the evolving waterfront.
After exploring the harbour area, we’ll head back up through the Old High Street, the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, known for its independent shops and colorful character. The route then leads to The Bayle, one of the oldest parts of Folkestone, steeped in history and charm.
With a mix of coastal paths, urban streets, and historic landmarks, this walk is perfect for those who love a blend of nature, history, and culture. Some sections include inclines, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
